Pi + Problem Solving + Pie = A Perfect Math Day!

Students in Miss Wilgus’ 7th grade class put their math skills to work as they tackled π (3.14) word problems through engaging station activities. Working in teams of two, students collaborated and reasoned through real-world problems involving circles, helping each other make sense of how π connects to circumference and area.
Students also had a blast playing “Pi Face,” adding a fun, high-energy twist to the lesson! To wrap up the day and celebrate their hard work, students even enjoyed actual pie. A memorable way to bring math to life while reinforcing teamwork, problem solving, and a little Pi Day fun!
