As we complete ¼ of the school year and close the first nine weeks, we reflect on the following:
Have we accomplished ¼ of the results we have targeted?
Has ¼ of the content and substance been covered?
Will our students be prepared for the OAA in April? Do they understand the impact this very high stakes test has on our school building? Our district?
Are our 8th graders on track to meet college and career readiness benchmarks by the end of the year?
Have we identified those students who are at risk academically? Have we made a conscious effort to provide interventions for them?
Can our 8th graders articulate their high school plans?
Is each staff member clear about the standards in his/her content area so that ALL students learn at high levels?
Are we engaging ALL of our students in learning important content?
Does ALL mean ALL to EVERY ONE of us?
These questions are not easy to answer, but critical questions to consider as teachers, students, and parents supporting the effort to develop our students.
Welcome to an exciting new year at Crenshaw Middle School!
We are excited to see the return of our students who will be 8th graders. We look forward to meeting our new students who are joining us in 7th grade! Thank you to the many parents and students who joined us for New Student Orientation on Thursday night. We hope you had a chance to get to know a little about Crenshaw before the first day on August 21st.
Please check our website for more information about what is happening at Crenshaw! We also send home monthly newsletters and weekly emails, called cMails to celebrate our school's events.

Stay Classy Crenshaw,
Welcome to our newly designed and updated web site. We hope the information provided here gives you a small taste of what Crenshaw Middle School is all about. Crenshaw Middle School has always enjoyed an excellent reputation in our community and throughout the state of Ohio since it opened in 1972. In spite of the many changes we have faced recently, I feel very strongly that we have not compromised in the slightest our emphasis on academics and high standards with regard to discipline and behavior. In addition, this year we have put in place a school wide plan which emphasizes technology, first rate lesson design, and a school motto "BRAVO", which stands for _B_uilding _R_elationships through _A_ctions which _V_alue _O_thers. Our three teaching teams meet regularly to plan/provide quality instruction and meet the educational, social, and emotional needs of our students and their families. Our exploratory programs (Art, Instrumental Music, Vocal Music, Physical Education, and Interscholastic Athletics) provide ample opportunity for our students to excel beyond the realm of "book learning". And, we continue to offer a wide variety of after school programs essentially free of charge for our students. I extend to you all an invitation to come into our building, visit, and get a chance to see first hand what Crenshaw Middle School is all about. Feel free to contact me at any time either by phone (330-454-7717) or by email. Thank you for taking the time to browse our website.
